Early Life

Josh got his interest in wrestling when he was five years old after watching the WWE pay-per-view 'Fully Loaded', and ever since he saw that pay-per-view, he loved wrestling ever since. Ever since graduating from highschool in 2001, WWE somehow heard of him, gave him a call and ended up getting Josh signed to a developmental contract to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW).

Wrestling Career

Josh debuted on Smackdown on February 12, 2004 and was put in a match against Scotty 2 Hotty and won. The following week, he was placed in a handicap match against Scotty 2 Hotty and his tag team partner Rikishi and lost. One of Josh's 'major' matches in the WWE didn't come till August 5 2004 wherre he was put in a Number One Cotenders match for the United States Championship against John Cena and won, where the following week, used that status against then-WWE United States Champion Booker T, which Josh won, having his first title reign since debuting in the WWE just a few months ago. Josh lost the championship to Chase Biedka. Josh was used sparingly during the 2005 and 2006 years, and whenever he was on television and was in a match, he'd won.

On May 11, 2007, a 15-man over the top battle royal was held to determine the number one contender for the United States Championship, which Josh ended up winning, which then on Judgment Day on May 20, 2007, used it against the then-US Champion M.V.P, which Josh won, making him have his second United States Championship reign, which ended on April 27, 2008 where he lost it to Matt Hardy.

During the 2008 WWE Draft, Josh was drafted to Raw and was put into a match at the same night against Kyle Smith, which Kyle won with a kick to the side of the head. On July 20, 2008, they were involved with a Fatal-Four Way Tag match featuring the teams of Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder, John Morrison and the Miz, Jesse and Festus and Finlay and Hornswoggle and Josh and Kyle won the tag team championships after Josh pinned Jesse. Josh and Kyle held the tag team championships till August 15, 2008 after they lost a match with John Morrison and The Miz.

From 2009 onwards, Josh has been used sparingly on WWE television, with most of the time was used in singles competition, but from time to time, he's been used in tag team competition where he would tag with Kyle or with his little sister Courtney Trudel (he'd also tag with Haylie Trudel before she went out of action due to pregnancy).

He was chosen to be a Pro on the fourth season of WWE NXT, being the Pro to his long time best friend Craig Maurer, which Craig would eventually win that season.

It was announced at the Raw Supershow taken place at Mexico City, Mexico that at Vengeance, Josh and Kyle were taking on Air Boom for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

At Vengeance, Josh and Kyle were unsuccessful in winning the WWE Tag Team Championship sfrom Air Boom.

At the Royal Rumble, Josh entered at #28. After eliminating both Sheamus and Chris Jericho, Josh ended up winning the Royal Rumble. On the January 30 edition of Raw, Josh appeared in a promo with Courtney Trudel/Daniel Bryan/Laurniaitis in which Josh reminded everyone that he won the 2012 Royal Rumble, that Courtney and Bryan would be defending their respective championships at the Elimination Chamber PPV, Laurinaitis might get fired that night and that he can choose to fight for either the World Heavyweight Championship or the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania XXVIII. Before he left, he then said to Laurinaitis that he jusrt doesn't hope that Triple H would fire Laurinaitis, in that he hopes that Triple H would kick Laurinaitis' ass before Josh left the ring and went to the back.

On the February 6 edition of Raw, Josh was put in a match with David Otunga as ordered by Triple H where Josh won. On the February 10 edition of Smackdown, Josh was in a promo about him talking about winning the Rumble and how he was growing up in terms of everyone hating on him. It was interupted by Wade Barrett who told him to go for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania and that if he does go for the Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania, that he'll be facing Barrett. It was then interupted by Cody Rhodes who said that he would be the one to win the Championship. It was then interupted by the Big Show who said that it'll be him against Josh at Wrestlemania, where at the end of it, Josh and Big Show cleared the ring of Cody and Wade. It was then announced that Josh would team with Bg Show to take on Cody and Wade later in the evening. Later that night, Josh and Big Show won their tag match when Josh pinned Wade.

On the February 17 edition of Smackdown, Josh was put in a match against Daniel Bryan where Josh lost via DQ after Bryan spat in his face, making Josh go nuts and attack him.

At Elimination Chamber, after the Smackdown Chamber match, Josh went out and attacked Daniel Bryan, signalling that he'll face Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania. At the February 20 edition of Monday Night Raw, Josh faced off against Mark Henry where Josh managed to win the match. On the February 21 edition of Smackdown, Josh appeared in a promo with Miz and Daniel Bryan where Josh started insulting Bryan, and threw in an insult to the Miz. Josh then later recieved a slap from Bryan where as the end result had a mini brawl with Miz. Josh then later had a match with Miz where Josh won. Later on in the evening, Josh placed an escaping Bryan back in the ring during his match against Courtney.

On the February 27 edition of Raw, Josh attacked Bryan from behind while he was escaping from his rematch against WWE Champion Courtney. Later in the evening, Josh had teamed up with the Big Show against Cody Rhodes and Mark Henry where Josh and Big Show won. On the March 2 edition of Smackdown, Josh appeared in a promo where he stated that ever since winning the Royal Rumble and picking Daniel Bryan to face for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania, he literally can't wait to beat Daniel Bryan's ass and kick him off his high horse at Wrestlemania. He was then joined by Vickie Guererro and Dolph Ziggler, where they started insulting Josh, before he started insulting them back. After Vickie started insulting Haylie and that her and Dolph didn't want Haylie to run both Raw and Smackdown, Haylie came out to the stage and made the match between Dolph and Josh, then left. After the match, despite having Vickie and Jack Swagger trying to get Dolph the win in the match, Josh ended up winning the match.

On the March 5 edition of Raw, it was announced that Josh would team up with Courtney to take on Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho. After the match, Courtney and Josh lost the match. On the March 8 edition of Smackdown, Josh was apart of an interview with Bryan conducted by Michael Cole where Josh said that everything that Josh has done in the WWE, he hasn't done it via hiding it behind some small little girl. Afterwards, Josh had said that since their match had been upgraded to a No Holds Barred Match that Josh would beat the living hell out of Bryan and take his World Heavyweight Championship. After the interview, Josh participated in a six person tag match where he teamed up with Big Show and Randy Orton to take on Bryan, Cody Rhodes and The Miz where after the match Josh's team won.

On the March 12 edition of Raw Josh was in a match against Dolph Ziggler where he won. It was announced on the March 16 edition of Smackdown that Josh will be in a match against Chris Jericho. Before the match when Chris was saying that he wasn't going to apologize for what he said to Courtney the past Monday on Raw and was saying that what he said about Courtney was the cold hard truth, Josh interupted him saying that he's lying to the WWE Universe about Courtney and that since he knows her more than everyone else, he can tell everyone that what Chris was saying wasn't true and that he was just planning on getting inside Courtney's head and try to take her title away from her. After he said that, the match started between Josh and Chris started and after the match, Josh lost via DQ because of Bryan who came out during the match and kicked him in the head causing Josh to lose the match. After the match, Josh chased Bryan and attacked him on the stage long enough to have officials pulll him off of Bryan. Ater that, Josh went to the back.

On the March 19 edition of Raw, Josh was in a match with The Miz where Josh won. At Wrestlemania 28 Josh Defeated Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship in just 18 seconds. On the April 6th edition of Smackdown, Josh lost to Alberto Del Rio via DQ after a ref caught him with a steel chair in hand wherreas it was Del Rio who was intended to use the chair on Josh when the ref was distracted by Ricardo Rodriguez. After the match, Josh side-kicked the ref in the skull. On the April 10th edition of Smackdown, Josh was being interviewed by 'Mean' Gene Okerlund before being interupted by Laurinaitis who said that if Josh laid his hands on another official, either by accidental or otherwise, he would be immediately fired, and because of what happened last week, he placed Josh on permanent probation. Laurinaitis also announced taht Josh would team up with 'Mean' Gene to take on Daniel Bryan and Alberto Del Rio. Josh and Gene went on to win that match. On the April 20 edition of Smackdown Josh teamed up with Big Show and Randy Orton to take on Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes and Mark Henry where Josh's team won. On the April 23 edition of Raw Josh was placed in a match against Mark Henry with Bryan as the special guest referee. Josh went on to lose the match where Bryan was distracting him and using the fact that Josh can't touch a referee or he'll be fired against Josh. After the match and after Bryan took off the ref shirt, Sheamus took that opportunity to beat down Bryan since he isn't the referee anymore. When the two entered the ring and after Josh managed to perform Transforming Change on Henry, Bryan kicked Josh down and applied the Yes Lock for a while until Bryan released the hold and left the ring. On the April 27 edition of Smackdown Josh was in another match against Mark Henry where Josh won. After the match, Bryan appeared on the stage applauding Josh. That led Josh to say that Bryan is scared of him because he isn't hiding behind a referee shirt and that he let him off easy at Wrestlemania and that at Extreme Rules he will kick his ass to remain World Heavyweight Champion. At Extreme Rules, Josh won his match against Bryan to remain World Heavyweight Champion. On the April 30 edition of Raw, Josh, along with Big Show, R-Truth and Kofi Kingston ran down to the ring for the save as HHH was in the Kumura Lock being applied from Brock Lesnar.

On the May 4 edition of Smackdown, Josh opened the show and cut a promo simply chanting yes when Bryan asked for a rematch. The two went on to fight to a no contest from an interference from Del Rio and Ricardo where Josh suffered from a 3 on 1 beatdown. Despite being beat down in the beginning of the show, Josh still went on to have another match with Bryan, this time, for the World Heavyweight title in which Josh retained. On the May 7 edition of Raw Josh was in a tag match with Orton as they faced off against Del Rio and Jericho where they lost after Jericho pulled off the Code Breaker on Josh for the win where before that, Josh went for the roundhouse kick to the side of Jericho's head, but he ducked and Josh got Orton instead. When the match was over, Josh tried to help Orton up, but instead Josh was laid out via the RKO. Few minutes afterwards, Josh was a part of a backstage brawl that included Orton, Del Rio and Jericho. It was then announced that the World Heavyweight Title match at Over the Limit is made into a fatal four-way. On the May 11 edition of Smackdown, Josh was a part of the tag team rematch from last week where it went into no contest, where afterwards it was announced that he would take on Jericho. Josh lost the match due to disqualification from Del Rio, which then resulted in another brawl between Josh, Jericho, Del Rio and Orton. On the May 14 edition of Raw, Josh was out in commentary for the Jericho/Orton match where after a certain part of the match where Jericho threw Orton into Josh, Josh went over to the ring, pulled Jericho out of the ring after the draping DDT, performed a clothsline to cause the DQ. He was then confronted by Orton about the DQ where they went into the ring when refs came down to keep them apart. It was announced that on Smackdown, a match between Orton and Josh would take place. On the May 18 edition of Smackdown, Josh took on Orton and won. After the match, Josh had the intention of shaking hands with Orton, but instead got laid out with an RKO. At Over the Limit, Josh retained the Heavyweight championship. The next night on Raw, Josh teamed up with Cena to take on Tensal, Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler in a Handicap Lumberjack Match where it went into a no contest after a brawl ensued. May 25 edition of Smackdown, Josh took on Jack Swagger and won. Later on in the show, Josh went out and attacked Del Rio from behind while he was on the stage after winning the Number 1 contenders match for the Heavyweight Championship and tells him that he cannot wait to beat the holy hell out of him at No Way Out. The May 28 edition of Raw, Josh took on David Otunga and won that match.

On the June 1 edition of Smackdown, Josh came out to cut a promo where he said that he's congratulating Del Rio on becoming the number one contender then shown some footage of the finish of the number one contenders match from last week and some footage of Josh attacking Del Rio from behind on the stage. Josh went on to insult Del Rio a bit. David Otunga then made his presence known as he came down to the ring and was ordering Josh to apologize for what he did two weeks ago on Raw as Josh had pushed Laurinaitis on his way to the ring, last week Josh had refused to apologize to John through Eve. Del Rio then went down to the ring and said that you can't get an apology out of him and that he's nothing but a 'street hooligan' and also went on to say the usual about how he's going to be the new Heavyweight Champion after No Way Out, where Otunga agreed with him. It was announced through Otunga that for Josh's match later on in the night, he was allowing Del Rio to select his opponent. After that, Josh gave out an apology, but not for what he did to Laurnaitis, then went on to attack Otunga. Later on, Josh won his match against Dolph Ziggler. June 4 edition of Raw Josh and Ziggler faced off in a rematch from Smackown where Josh won again. After the match, Del Rio attacked Josh from behind as he was headed up the ramp, and when it looked like Josh was coming back, Ricardo comes out to help and the two stomp away on Josh. Del Rio then went and applied the cross armbreaker with Josh hanging off the stage. On the June 8 edition of Smackdown, Del Rio and Ricardo mocked Josh for a bit until Josh came out and attacked both Del Rio and Ricardo before just focusing on attacking Del Rio. That went on for a while until Ricardo and Del Rio went on to assault Josh and targeted his injured arm. It was announced that Josh would take on Kane later in the evening. Josh went on to win the match. June 11 edition of Raw Josh faced off againt Tensai and won. Josh went and made an appearance after the Fatal Four Way Number 1 Contender match for the Heavyweight Title in which Ziggler won. The two were ontop of the stage in which Josh was thinking about beating the holy hell out of Josh before decieding on raising his title in Dolph's faace. On the June 15 edition of Smackdown, Josh made an appearance during the AJ/Courtney/Bryan/Ziggler promo where he insulted Bryan and Ziggler, and along with Courtney, held back AJ from going psycho on Vickie. Josh and Courtney then went on to lose their tag match against Dolph and Bryan. At No Way Out, Josh retained the title against Ziggler. It was announced on the June 18 edition of Raw that Josh will team up with Courtney to take on Kane and Bryan. Josh and Courtney won the match. On the June 22 edition of Smackdown Josh faced off against Ziggler and won. On the June 29 edition of Smackdown, Josh faced off against Del Rio and Ziggler in a Triple Threat Match for the World title in which Josh retained the championship.

On the July 2 edition of Raw, Josh teamed up with AJ to take on Dolph and Vickie where Josh and AJ won. The next night on Smackdown, Josh came out during the Del Rio promo where eventually Ricardo and Del Rio double team Josh. Del Rio went as far as to use the hood of his car to attack Josh. July 9 edition of Raw Josh faced off against Jack Swagger and won that match. July 13 edition of Smackdown Josh won his maatch against Jericho. At Money in the Bank Josh retained his championship against Del Rio. July 20 edition of Smackdown, Josh went down and saved Rey Mysterion from an attack from Dolph and Del Rio, then the two attacked Del Rio and Dolph. It was then announced that Josh and Mysterio would team up to face Del Rio and Dolph later on in the night. Josh and Mysterio won the match by disqualification. After the match, Del Rio attacked Josh, leaving Dolph to attempt to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase but was attacked by Mysterio before he could do that, which leads to Dolph being attacked by Josh. On Raw 1000, Josh teamed up with Mysterio and Sin Cara to take on Jericho, Ziggler and Del Rio where Josh, Mysterio and Cara won that match. On the July 27 edition of Smackdown, Josh appeared in a promo with Bryan where Josh was talking to him about Bryan's bad evening on Monday in terms of the wedding with AJ, Rock and Charlie Sheen, where Josh resulted in giving Bryan a present for the wedding with the reason being that it might come in handing on the weddig night before walking away. Later, Josh went on to face Cody Rhodes where Josh won. After the match, Ziggler came down and teased cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase once again before he was attacked by Jericho in a Ziggler shirt. On the July 30 edition of Raw, Josh was set to face Bryan in a Street Fight where Josh went on to win.

On the August 3 edition of Smackdown, Josh came out to congratulate Booker T on becoming the new Smackdown GM and that he actually means it when he said congratulations unlike Del Rio. It was announced that Josh would be in a match next where he was set to face Tensai where Josh went on to win the match. Josh made an appearance after the Del Rio/Orton match where Josh sent Del Rio back into the ring after escaping from it delievering Del Rio into an RKO. On the August 6 edition of Raw, Josh had stolen Del Rio's Ferrari and took it on a joy ride around San Antonio which as a result, the car was completely destroyed. On the August 10 edition of Smackdown, Josh walked down to the ring and explained to Booker the reasoning of why Josh took Del Rio's car last week on Raw. He went on and issued an apology for what he did last week. Josh and Del Rio faced off in a match later on in the night for the World Heavyweight Championship, but before the match could even get started, 'authorities' came down to the ring, wherre they eventually went and attack Josh. On the August 17 edition of Smackdown, Josh went down to the ring and attacked Del Rio after his match against Jericho, which Del Rio, along with Ricardo, ran away into the crowd. When Booker walked onto the stage and asked what is Josh doing here, Josh demanded that he'll reinstate the Heavyweight Championship match between himself and Del Rio, which Booker cancelled the match last week after Josh's attack. Booker then went and agreed that the match would be back on for the pay per view. At Summerslam, Josh retained his championship against Del Rio.

Personal Life

Josh is the older brother to Haylie and Courtney Trudel. On July 16, 2009, Josh gotten married to his fiancée of four years Sabrina Biedka. On August 19, 2010, Josh and Sabrina are the proud parents of their first child: Faith Onyx Trudel who weighed at 7 lbs and 7oz. Josh and Sabrina are expecting their second child, which is set to be due around May-June 2012.
